Dear Fellow Servants of our Savior:
Greetings in the name of our Savior and Lord,
Jesus Christ!
The 2010 Professional Church Workers'
Conference offers us an opportunity for your body, soul, heart and mind to
be refreshed and restored in our work for Christ. I invite you to attend
this conference on November 21-23, 2010, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran
Church in San Antonio.
Under the theme “As You Love Yourself,” we will
hear vibrant speakers, experience uplifting worship, and have a chance to
enjoy refreshing fellowship together.
In the midst of busy ministry efforts, Jesus
said to His disciples, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get
some rest” (Mark 6:31). This theme verse will lead us to consider how we
are replenished and restored as Christ’s servants.
Our
presenters range from best selling authors to ministry leaders in the
trenches. Don Piper, author of 90 Minute in Heaven will focus
on how the heartbroken and crestfallen can be lifted up even during
suffering. Kathleen Whitten will talk about her dramatic
difficulties in life and how God’s Word and presence bring help and hope.
Dr. Richard Swenson, author of MARGIN: Restoring Emotional,
Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives, will address
the overload and stress we endure in life and how to handle these
challenges. Dr. Bruce Hartung and Rev. Mark Junkans will
bring messages of personal restoration to us.
Please join me at this exciting conference to
reflect, rest, dialog, and fellowship together.
